The Nye Bevan Community Centre is a 20 minute bus ride from Hackney Downs Overground Station on 242. Or, if you are feeling energetic a 15 minute walk from Clapton Overground. The main hall is 110m² and is situated on the first floor and there is a lift available. It has a maximum capacity of 80 people. At the end of the hall, there is a raised stage of 37m² that makes it ideal for amateur productions or shows. A fully equipped kitchen with a serving hatch opening up in the hall allows hirers to serve refreshments to their guests. The hall is bright and airy and has windows down one side of the room and a high ceiling. Behind the stage there are two vacant offices available for hire on a long or short-term basis. The Nye Bevan Community Centre is an ideal venue for regular activities such as training, community meetings, amateur dramatic groups, societies and clubs, baby groups, fitness classes, dance classes and much more. It’s also available to hire on a one-off basis for social gatherings, wakes, Christenings and blessings, children’s parties, weddings and anniversaries.
