Accessibility

This accessibility statement applies to BookingsPlus. This website is run by Kajima Community. This website is currently in the BETA phase. This means we are actively developing the platform. As additional website pages and functionality are introduced, this accessibility statement will evolve.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours and contrast levels

  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen

  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard

  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software

  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We have also made the website text as simple as possible so that it is easy to understand.

How accessible is this website?

The accessibility test on the website has highlighted some key findings listed below. The full list of high and medium severity findings is given in a later section of this document.

  • Floor plans are saved as images and text-to-speech applications may not work well with explaining the floor plans.

  • Certain elements do not have a suitable contrast ratio.

  • Not all links have discernible text.

  • Some UI components on the pages are not accessible via the keyboard.

  • Some UI components on the pages do not have visual identifiers when they are navigated to using a keyboard.

  • Some links are not distinguishable from the surrounding text.

  • All touch targets on the web pages do not have sufficient size and space due to which the user interaction with the site on mobile devices is not optimal.

How we tested this website

This website was last tested on 25th November 2025 using an automated site accessibility software against the WCAG 2.2 standard.

You will find the results of the latest test in this accessibility statement. The next test is scheduled for end of Q2 2026.

When concluding the BETA phase, the website will undergo a formal accessibility test.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

We are committed to making our website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

The following issues are rated as high in terms of the severity of impact:

  • Some interactive elements on the screens have names which are not accessible by assistive technologies. This fails the WCAG 2.2 success criterion SC 4.1.2 and SC 1.1.1

  • Some components on the web pages of the application are not visually identifiable when they are keyboard focussed as they do not have visual elements such as a border. This fails the WCAG2.2 success criteria SC 2.4.7

  • Some interactive elements on the web pages of the application are not keyboard accessible. This fails the WCAG2.2 success criteria SC 2.1.1

  • On some pages there is no mechanism available to bypass blocks of content that are repeated on multiple web pages by skipping directly to the main content of the Web page and the element is visible when it receives keyboard focus. The fails the WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 2.4.1

  • The contrast between the foreground and background colours does not meet WCAG 2AA minimum contrast ratio thresholds. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 1.4.3

  • Some links on the pages are not clearly identifiable from surrounding text as they are not using distinct style or colour. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 1.4.1

  • Form elements on some pages do not have their visible labels as part of their accessible name. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 2.5.3

  • Not all links have discernible text. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion SC 4.1.2 & SC 2.4.4

  • Not all non-text elements, such as textboxes and checkboxes, meet the minimum 3:1 contrast ratio against surrounding colors. This fails the WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC1.4.1.1

  • Some form labels are not clearly visible and positioned to maintain clear association with their corresponding fields. This fails the WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 3.3.2

  • Some interactive elements have missing or incorrect roles. This fails the WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 4.1.2

  • The search elements on some pages are not placed within a landmark region to make it easily discoverable by assistive technologies, such as screen readers. This fails the WCAG 2.2 success criterion SC 1.3.1 and SC 2.4.1

We aim to solve all of the above high-priority problems by the next test.

The following issues are rated as medium in terms of the severity of impact

  • Some form fields on the web pages do not use auto-complete attribute with a valid input. This fails the WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 1.3.5

  • Some links with the same href URLs do not have the same link text across a set of web pages. This fails the WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 3.2.4

  • Some images on the web pages do not have meaningful alt text to describe their content and purpose. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 1.1.1

  • The keyboard navigation order on some forms does not match the visual layout and the focus shifts unusually from one element to the other and causes confusion with the users. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria SC 1.3.2

The medium severity accessibility problems will be reviewed and will be worked on after the high priority problems have been addressed.
